Laughter is Good Medicine

Laughter is very good medicine. I know I use it in my sessions. Can you find humor in the world around you? This is a great way to deal with stress; things are hard enough right now.
Personally, I was watching Sanford & Son last week and I was cracking up. Laughed my butt off.
What’s something you saw recently that made you laugh?

Please check out my video, whereas I talk about the 3 reasons why people often don’t get the assistance they may need.  Feedback is always appreciated.

You Are Good, Say It With Me!!

It’s August 1st, so let’s start this month of right. Say it with me!!

Start your day with these positive affirmations, then post them somewhere you can read them everyday. Studies show that using positive and uplifting language, spoken (including in your head) or written (hello journaling) rewires your brain and can actually improve your overall health and success.

You Are Not Alone!!

You are not alone. I repeat, you are not alone.
At times it may feel like you’re the only one struggling. Like you’re the only one that knows what you’re going through.
According to the National Alliance on Mental Health, 1 in 5 adults experience mental illness. That means whatever you’re struggling with, chances are you are not the only one struggling.

Maybe your relationship is struggling since being quarantined. Or your kids are not on a schedule. Or it feels like life is just passing you by. Even though at times it may feel like we are the only one struggling in this way, we have to remind ourselves that we are not alone.

If you need someone to talk to, who understands what you’re going through, give me a call or text me at (414) 881-7401.

How are you?

We have gone and in some ways still dealing with Covid-19 to the death of Geroge Floyd and the aftermath, without catching our breath. For different reasons both have changed the texture of our lives.

How are you really feeling? Here’s your reminder to check in with yourself.

😁 I’m feeling great!

😊 I’m feeling pretty good!

😐 I’m doing alright, could be better.

😥 I’m starting to feel anxious, sad or upset.

😣I’m really struggling and need to reach out for support.

If you’re doing just alright, feeling anxious or struggling, give me a call or text me, so I can help. I can be reached at (414) 881-7401.

Depression, it’s not just all in your mind.

Some people will never understand what it’s like to feel so low and depressed that waking up is the highlight of your day and even that doesn’t feel good. The struggle is real, and while some feel that things will never get better help is available. (414) 881-7401 or www.alwaysabetteryou.com

Anxiety During Covid-19

Stay at Home, don’t stay at home. Wear a mask, masks don’t help much. We will have a vaccine soon, it may take awhile to get a vaccine. One thing is for sure right now, there is a whole bunch of mixed signals. For many, we can just go about our business but for someone who has anxiety all of these mix messages may be creating an even higher level of anxiety. If you know someone who has anxiety, please check on them. If anyone needs more in-depth help, let me know. I can be reached at (414) 881-7401 or visit me at www.alwaysabetteryou.com

Being Grateful

In difficult times, we can easily get overwhelmed by what’s going wrong, or everything that is missing in our lives. We can lose sight of all of the good that surrounds us. But that doesn’t mean the good isn’t there. The good is always there, we just need to start to see it again. The way we do that is through gratitude.

What (3) things are you grateful for right in this moment?

This post was inspired by my friend Kimberly Geschke who mentioned she started reading “The Magic,” by Rhonda Byrne, becoming more grateful and very good things started happening for her.

You Don’t Have To Do This Alone!!

Once again, about 1.5 months into this social distance lock-down, there is a ton going on in the world right now. Schools are closed, jobs are being cut, businesses are being lost, the future is uncertain. All of these things are enough to create anxiety, then add the everyday worries.

Here’s your gentle reminder that not everything that weighs you down is yours to carry. You don’t have to go this alone.

I believe we can all gain from talking to someone when things get rough. And it’s definitely rough out there right now.

If things are weighing you down right now, call me to see if I can help.
