Controlling Your Anxiety

Between Covid 19, nationwide protests, and the new election cycle upon us, Stress and anxiety are on the rise…Not sure what to do? Try these tips to help you cope with it.

– Focus on things you can control (ie. get a good night’s sleep)
– Stay ‘virtually’ connected
– Be kind to yourself (ie. self care, exercise)
– Decrease screen time
– Help others (this will help you too)
– Get some fresh air, take a walk around your neighborhood
– Remind yourself to stay present (instead of a ‘what ifs’ takeover)
– Reach out for support from friends or a therapist when you need it.

As always, I am here if you or someone you love needs some assistance making it through these difficult times. You can reach me here, at (414) 881-7401, scott@alwaysabetteryou.com

You Are Not Alone!!

You are not alone. I repeat, you are not alone.
At times it may feel like you’re the only one struggling. Like you’re the only one that knows what you’re going through.
According to the National Alliance on Mental Health, 1 in 5 adults experience mental illness. That means whatever you’re struggling with, chances are you are not the only one struggling.

Maybe your relationship is struggling since being quarantined. Or your kids are not on a schedule. Or it feels like life is just passing you by. Even though at times it may feel like we are the only one struggling in this way, we have to remind ourselves that we are not alone.

If you need someone to talk to, who understands what you’re going through, give me a call or text me at (414) 881-7401.

Make The Most of Everyday!!

Not sure if we are going forward or backwards with the Covid-19 Virus? Remember this:

Love is NOT cancelled.

Taking care of yourself is NOT cancelled.

Hope is NOT cancelled.

Laughter is NOT cancelled.

Embrace all of the good you have in your life today.

What was the last thing that made you really laugh out loud?

Asking For Help Shows Strength

Asking for help doesn’t make you weak or helpless, it just means you’re smart enough to recognize your own limitations. And brave enough to say these 3 words: I need help. For most people, asking for help can be extremely difficult, but in the end, can provide so much relief.

My philosophy is “Working Together For A Better You.” I help my clients, understand that no one is expected to be able to handle everything on their own. We are all imperfect and have issues. We are all human. You are doing the best you can – and that’s enough.

If you or someone you know could use help through your struggle (no matter the size), contact me to see if I can help. You can reach out here, (414) 881-7401

Don’t Give Up!!

The last several months may have knocked you for a loop or derailed some of your dreams and/or plans. Have to keep in mind to stay healthy physically and mentally, so when this passes, you will be able to ready to move forward.

When you feel like you’re down for the count, like the dream is too far out of reach remember ‘You Got This!’ Get back on your feet and keep going.

You can use this ‘challenge’ to keep moving forward even when things are difficult. Dodge excuses that keep you stuck in place. Embrace the inner strength and confidence, and put in the hard work to accomplish your goals. The choice is yours, you can either stay down for the count, or you can stand up to whatever you’re facing right now.

If you need someone else in your corner to help you face these challenges, give me a call. I’m ready to help. Reach out at (414) 881-7401, or visit www.alwaysabetteryou.com

😐 I’m doing alright, could be better.

😥 I’m starting to feel anxious, sad or upset.

😣I’m really struggling and need to reach out for support.

Depression, it’s not just all in your mind.

Some people will never understand what it’s like to feel so low and depressed that waking up is the highlight of your day and even that doesn’t feel good. The struggle is real, and while some feel that things will never get better help is available. (414) 881-7401 or www.alwaysabetteryou.com
